Agri-PV
Solar power and agriculture on the same land: elevated or widely spaced rows leave room for crops or grazing underneath and between them.
What it is
Agri-PV structures are built higher or with wider spacing than a conventional solar park, so that farm machinery can pass and crops receive enough light. The partial shade reduces evaporation and heat stress, which in dry regions can even raise crop yields.
For communities this means land is not lost to energy generation. It creates two income streams from one field and often eases the permitting process.

Suitable for
- Farmland and pasture
- Regions with water stress and strong sun
- Projects that depend on community acceptance
Advantages
- Dual use of land, two sources of income
- Less evaporation, protection from hail and heat
- Better acceptance among landowners and communities
What we check in planning
- Crop selection and light requirement
- Clearance height and machinery widths
- Rainwater distribution under the modules
